The Role
A play worker must ensure that the children come first; they promote positive relationships with their children, parents and the school. Be enthusiastic, use their initiative and create a fun play environment for the children, through different activities such as arts and crafts, role play, board games and other exciting play opportunities. To support and care for any child who needs assistance. You will report to the Club Manager and your duties/requirements will include:

• Working as a team member and to assist in the smooth running or the club
• To be a positive role model for the children and to be reliable, supportive and professional
• Look after the children’s needs and ensure children are supervised effectively always
• To be responsible and accountable for a group of key children
• Assist with planning and setting out play opportunities appropriately for children’s age and stage
• Assist with monitoring the children’s progress
• Building positive relationships with the parents and external professionals
• Promoting a positive, enabling environment that meets the needs of all the children
• To be positive about training and upskill as and when required and
• To have a clear, enhanced DBS

The Hours & Salary
Breakfast Club: 7.15am to 9.00am
Afterschool club: 2.30pm – 6.30pm
Holiday Club: 7.15am to 6.30pm (on shift patterns)
Salary depends on Qualifications, experience and age (NMW/NLW + 20p)
