Gaytime Day Nursery & Baby Unit

Gaytime Day Nursery & Baby Unit

We are situated in a beautiful old house which gives our nursery a homely feel for the children and allows our families to feel at home when they come in.

We have our own forecourt which allows you to drop off and collect your child right outside the entrance and we have a buggy shed to leave your buggy and scooter for the day.

When you enter the nursery you can find our latest information and news on our parent table. We value our relationship with our nursery parents who are very supportive and get involved in the various events we hold throughout the year.  We welcome parents’ feedback.

We have a spacious pre-school classroom on the ground floor plus our baby sensory room and our nursery kitchen and downstairs bathroom. As you climb our jungle themed stairs, on the first floor we have two rooms for under 2’s and our self-contained baby room with its own bathroom facilities.

Our garden allows the children to be indoors and outdoors in all weathers. We have a secure baby area which allows the babies to play outside with the other children.  We share this baby garden area with Startel, our neighbouring nursery.

Our Rainbow Room for 3-5 year olds is one big space downstairs which has zones for learning and activities plus computers and a whiteboard for the children to access.

The children take great pleasure in our resident pets – we have Daisy the snail, and Satsuma and Nemo the fish.

Every child has a keyworker who works in partnership with their parents and provides daily contact and feedback on their child’s day and development.

Many of the children we care for have been with us since they were babies and it is an honour to see them grow and their personalities develop.  Each summer we hold a graduation ceremony for those leaving us for ‘big school’ in September. Graduation is an important and big day in our yearly calendar.

We are the first day nursery that Jancett Childcare opened back in 1969 (we were originally located in Strawberry Lane, Carshalton).  On 1st September 2019 the company will be celebrating their 50th year in operation.

Dancekids

Dancekids are fun dance classes for children from the age of two and a half.  They help the children to develop a variety of physical skills, including balance, posture and to move rhythmically to the music.

Children can wear their own clothes as long as they can move freely in them and non-slip shoes are ideal.

The cost is £50.40 per term.

Full details about dancekids can be found at www.dancekids.co.uk.

Quotes from our dancers …

“I love my curtsies”

“The music makes me dance”

“I stand on one leg”

Local bus routes

Local buses for our nurseries are:

127, 151, 154, 157 and hopper bus 455 and S4 all serve the local area in Wallington.

Parking is adjacent to the nurseries, the drop off point being immediately outside each nursery.

Please can all parents and guardians be mindful of where they park and not to block a residents’ driveway when dropping off and picking up their child, thank you.

What Parents Say About Us:

“For 6 years both of our children have had the benefit of the continuity of your care. We’ve loved seeing the special relationship they have had with their key workers over the years. They’ve felt happy and secure at nursery and have had such great fun. My child is “ready to go!” he often sings “the future is looking good to me!” and it really is – thanks to you all.” August 2018
